Submitting Photos to the Washington Post - Fairfax Extra

The Washington Post is asking that theaters submitting digital photos of performances to the newspaper strictly follow these guidelines:

1. For the Fairfax extra send the photos to: fxextra@washpost (the previous address should include a .com, but it has been excluded to preclude spam).  Please contact the Washington Post to gain e-mail addresses for other sections.

2. Start with an RGB or grayscale .TIF file, of 8 x 10", at a resolution of 200 or about 7Megs for color or 3Megs for black and white.

3.  Save this file as a .JPG file between 300k to 600k.

4. Send the .JPG file as an attachment to the e-mail.

5. One photo per email.

6. No more than two photos per production.

7. No zip files.

8.. Who took the photograph, what organization do they work for and what is their e-mail or fax . Or, if family photo, just say that.

9. What is the event about or who does it involve?

10. Identify the subjects, from left to right.

11. If all you have is a print, Kinkos or Pip have the ability to scan and send a photograph.  Or drop by The Post Fairfax office, 4020 University Drive, Ste. 220. 703-352-2560
